A live version of another wonderful song David never officially released!

Audio "All The Love" live at The Cynthia Woods-Mitchell Pavilion on 2003-08-02 (August 2, 2003)

    Thanks to squtternutbosh77's youtube channel!

"All The Love by David Gray

All The Love was written in early 2000 and was said, by David Gray, to be the "13th track" on his 2002 record, A New Day At Midnight.....therefore meaning the song just missed the cut of making it on to the record.

Though All The Love did not make it on his A New Day At Midnight record (or any record since), David Gray played the song live through 2003, typically pairing the song with Black Dog by Led Zepplin.

    *All The Love*

    Hear the warnin
    Read the signs
    Written here between the lines
    Whisperin poisin valentines
    To the love in me

Pull the blade out from the fire
    Crusify my own desire
Chase it all down to the wire
    For the love in me

    Milk of kindness
    Bread of dreams
    Bellies burstin at the seams
    Cirgarettes and magazines
    For the love in me

Through it all this heart of mine
    Leavin me so far behind

All this world just made of breath
Every line gets darned to death
Nothing here to face it with
    Just the love in me

Through it all this heart of mine
    Leavin me so far behind

Meet me darlin on the steps
Paint the line upon your lips
    Open with your finger tips
    All the love in me
    All the love in me
    All the love in me"

I like the version with just David on the piano. It's soooo nice. I think it's the Joe's pub gig.

    Oh, you're only a bit negative :D ;)

You may be right, but let me dream please !! I know where reality starts.
And with David's new music it's a really nice reality and get's nice and nicer the closer we come to the drop of the new album and the following concert. Don't take me to serious ;)

    Best regards and stay positive!

    John ;)

    oh we're positive!!!

    that he won't play it............

its all good we would all go hysterical if he played either of the two you mention............just that we had this discussion on the old board - I do think he has removed some material from consideration....again unfortunately

who knows....with dg anything can happen right?

All The Love is THE one song I would love to hear live one day. And I will never give up hope :)

So hear we go. As you've said DCA - you never know with DG .

This was one of my favorite's of his live I have seen... though I did not get lucky enough for the version that went into Black Dog. It was right on up there along with Nightblindness, Baltimore and Freedom that night for intensity.

And, yes, the solo piano version is from Joe's Pub. That is one of my favorite versions (and shows!). :)

I actually like it better without Black Dog. I love the intensity of the end of the version posted here.

Sixstring, what a dream of a show!

It was quite the show! I will get around to adding my review/set from that night sometime soon :)
